I think that this quote is talking about how
successful people are often too busy completing tasks and making a difference
to worry about the status of their success. It means; Hard Work- usually brings
on Success without a person even THINKING about succeeding. Take Mark
Zuckerberg of Facebook, for example. He never intended to be the
multi-Billionaire He is today. He first created facebook for fun and for photo
sharing at his college Harvard. Well, He worked hard, He DID- & SOMEWHERE
along Way- He became a big Success!!! :)
Another example can be anyone who is motivated
to truly live life. If you are busy doing, you can't spend time worrying. The
more you do, the more likely you are to succeed. So by the shear nature of
doing, one would be likely to focus on what is in front of them and not the
likely success that will come despite looking for it. Those who do look for
success aren't being productive enough to find it. We all know friends,
relatives here in our country Tanzania who are constantly switching jobs
looking for the next best thing instead of just working hard at whatever their
doing. They sometimes doesn't like hard work and wants get rich quick schemes.
Anyone in this circumstance is NOT likely to find the success they desire.
Success is a relative term; it is achieving
something relative to your goal. If your goal is to reach somewhere
academically, and if you got it, then it doesn't mean that you are successful
in Life at all. There are a lot of life activities which we need success other
than education. I rather choose to be 'good' on many things rather than being
'the best' on one thing, because life is a combination of many things. However
Education makes life easier as compared to not being educated, because we are
now moving from the age of 'Industrial revolution' to the age of 'Information
revolution' which requires us to go in line with the new knowledge’s and
developments. That is why we need to educate ourselves and our nations.
Furthermore, success usually comes to those who
are too busy to be looking for it. Many would argue that success is not about
making money, but about developing oneself into a person who is valuable to
others. So, all in all, academic qualifications DON'T "necessarily"
ensure success in life; but qualifications CAN HELP in getting one onto the
right path to success [& happiness], if one has the motivation to do well
in life.
